The place
A former brickyard that shipped bricks to the Empire State Building, turned into a riverfront hotel and venue. Three covered pavilions, Hutton Hall for smaller dinners, thirty cabins and the Edgewood Mansion for the wedding party. Two hours from the city, which is why so many couples from Brooklyn and Manhattan end up here.
Filming here
The pavilions are open to the river, so wind and water are part of the sound. That's exactly why every vow gets its own microphone. The light comes off the water late in the day, and the walk from the lawn to the pavilion is worth filming on its own.
What to expect
Hutton pairs every wedding with a planner, and I work from your planner's timeline. Because it's close, I'm usually on the property before the first car arrives.
Questions about filming at Hutton
How long until we get the films?
Eight weeks for the feature and highlight films.
Do you travel?
Yes. Travel within the Hudson Valley and the Catskills is included. New York City and beyond is quoted per wedding.
How do you handle the audio?
Every voice that matters gets its own microphone: a lav on whoever is saying vows, a recorder on the officiant, a feed from the DJ or band for the toasts. It's the reason the films sound the way they do.
Can we have the raw footage?
Yes, as an add-on, delivered on a drive after the edit is finished.
What about the music?
Every film uses licensed music selected to fit your story. Ask about sharing options for your favorite platforms.
How do we hold a date?
A signed agreement and a retainer hold your date. Dates are first come, first served.
Do you work with our planner and photographer?
Always. I share the timeline ahead of the day and stay out of the photographer's frame.
Is travel included?
Yes. It's a five-minute drive.
Do you fly a drone at Hutton?
Where the venue allows it and the weather cooperates. The riverfront from above is worth it.
Do we need a planner?
Hutton asks every couple to work with one, and so do I. It makes the day calmer for everyone.
Which package fits a Hutton weekend?
Most weekend weddings here run long, with a welcome party the night before. The Feature with welcome-party coverage, or The Cinema, tends to fit.
